Edible Projects

  • Italian Geography Cookies

    • Try making a geographically correct map of Italy with a cookie featuring M&M rivers and mountains, and a Hershey's Kiss Mount Vesuvius!

  • Edible Roman Roads

    • Revive the streets of Ancient Rome by using candies, cookies, syrups, sprinkles,  and other goodies to lay out the pathways used by the Romans!​ (but much better tasting ones)

​

  • Dormice Snacks

    • Take a chicken wing, pork, dates, dough, or cookies and decorate with eyes, ears, and a nose, then cover with honey and poppy seeds to recreate the Ancient Roman delicacy of glires or stuffed dormice!​

​

  • Latin Cookie Story

    • Write a story and create a comic panel in Latin, then bring it to life through the likes of gingerbread houses, characters, and more!​

  • Tile And Error ⭐

    • Play in a homemade game against your friends to compete in making mosaic tile art based off of random prompts and grading each other using tiles of different shapes, sizes, colors, and orientations! We've certainly had lots of fun with this one and we hope you do too!

  • Mythology Jeopardy

    • Think you know mythology well? Test yourself or others in a jeopardy themed quiz about Ancient Greek and Roman mythology!​

  • Latin Music Vinco (Bingo)

    • Test how well you can translate these songs into Latin as you compete against others to get Vinco!​

Roman Holidays

  • Lemuria

    • Evil ghostly spirits haunting you and your family? Try throwing beans at them and banging pots and pans together! Lemuria was the Roman festival spanning May 9, 11, and 13 acting as the "Ancient Roman Halloween" where they performed rituals to ward off evil and haunting spirits! Try them for yourself​

  • Saturnalia

    • From December 17-23, celebrate a winter festival as the Romans did by freeing Saturn from his woolen chains and play knucklebones with your servants who, for the time being, are allowed to celebrate with you all week! Consider adding a twist by incorporating a murder mystery like us!​

  • Lupercalia

    • Ever run around your town half naked and smeared in goat's blood and milk, lightly whipping women with goat skin for good fertility? No? Well, if you were apart of the Luperci, a priesthood for young men in Ancient Rome, then on February 15th, you too could do just that! The Luperci would meet at the cave where a she-wolf nursed Romulus and Remus and carry out sacrifices of goats, then use the goat's blood and hide to perform a fertility ritual enjoyed by many citizens!​ Try making a februa (goat skin whip) out of leather or similar materials and get ready to celebrate the next Lupercalia!
